Glamis is about more than just its well known castle. The Glamis Stone, or King Malcolm's Stone as it is often called, stands adjacent to St. Fergus' Kirk and is a stone of Pictish origin which may date from the 7th century whilst the Christian symbols on its west facing side may date back to the time of Saint Fergus himself.
Amongst other legends associated with the area is the one which perpetuates the local belief that the stone is the gravestone of King Malcolm II who was murdered at Glamis on 25th November 1034.
We love living and working in the area. The Glamis stone and its connections to the past give this wonderful little community a real sense of linkage to its historic past whilst offering a location within easy reach of all of Scotland or indeed further afield.
